Network Operations Analyst (Junior)

TL;DR

Network Operations Analyst (IT Infrastructure): Supporting and maintaining enterprise network services including firewalls, load balancing, and WAN resources with an accent on incident management and ITIL processes. Focus on ensuring operational stability for local and field networks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Waterloo, Ontario (Hybrid role with travel between Toronto, Waterloo, and Wellesley).

Salary: $65,000–$105,000 CAD

What you will do

• Support 1st level network infrastructure issues and triage user requests.
• Manage incidents and problems following the ITIL framework.
• Execute changes to network devices while ensuring integration with existing environments.
• Collaborate with the Operations Command Centre and 2nd/3rd level support teams.
• Consult with internal and external clients to define project requirements.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to maintain operational services.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering.
• Experience supporting network devices and knowledge of TCP/IP protocols.
• Understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, routing protocols, and network management.
• Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, Load Balancing, VPN gateways, and Firewalls.
• Industry-recognized certifications such as Cisco CCENT or CCNA.
• Ability to manage a multi-site workload with occasional travel between Ontario locations.
