Legal Counsel (Employment)

Location: Milan, Italy; London, UK; Madrid, Spain; Warsaw, Poland, or fully remote from eligible countries. Most days must be spent in the Milan office during the first few months, after which office-based or remote work may be agreed.

Typical annual salary offers range from €66,065 to €107,837 elsewhere in Europe and from £85,797 to £151,436 in London. Exceptionally experienced candidates may receive up to €303,108 elsewhere in Europe or £398,287 in London.

What you will do

• Advise on hiring, employment contracts, compensation, equity, relocations, and terminations.
• Lead workforce restructurings and post-acquisition integrations across EU countries, including collective dismissals, employment transfers, and consultations with works councils and unions.
• Manage employment claims and litigation across EU jurisdictions with external counsel and internal stakeholders.
• Draft and negotiate technology and intellectual property agreements.
• Build compliant, scalable hiring processes, templates, policies, and AI-powered workflows.
• Monitor national and EU employment law and provide practical business guidance.

Requirements

• Law degree and experience at a law firm or as in-house counsel.
• Experience with major employment-law challenges relevant to the role.
• Proficient English in reading, writing, and speaking.
• Strong reasoning, structured problem-solving, attention to detail, initiative, and ownership.
• Collaborative, reliable, honest, and transparent approach.
