Sr. Counsel, Commercial Legal (AI)

Location: Remote (United States)

Base salary: $165,000–$220,000 annually, plus annual bonus potential, equity participation, and benefits.

What you will do

• Negotiate and close complex commercial agreements with enterprise, commercial, and mid-market sales teams.
• Advise customer success, professional services, product, marketing, and other internal teams on legal matters supporting growth and innovation.
• Draft and improve commercial templates, playbooks, resources, policies, and operational processes.
• Address open-source and proprietary licensing, data governance, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance issues.
• Use AI tools and workflows to accelerate drafting and negotiation while developing scalable legal processes.
• Mentor junior members of the Legal Team and advise internal clients and leadership.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor or equivalent degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice in an applicable jurisdiction.
• At least 8 years of relevant legal experience.
• Extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and intellectual property licenses, including SaaS, partnership, professional services, and vendor agreements.
• Strong knowledge of commercial law, intellectual property law, data protection regulations, and other regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic advisory skills.
• Demonstrated experience building an AI tool, workflow, or process that measurably improved speed or scale.
