What you will do

• Perform comprehensive materials testing and failure analysis, including data gathering and technical report writing.
• Design independent test protocols for complex projects and materials problem-solving.
• Identify failure mechanisms, contributing factors, and preventative actions for metallic and non-metallic materials.
• Provide technical oversight and training to laboratory team members.
• Consult with customers to identify testing needs and provide technical expertise.
• Collaborate with internal engineering divisions including forensics, mechanical, and chemistry departments.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) due to ITAR compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Engineering, or Physical/Materials Science.
• 7-10 years of related experience, preferably in a material testing laboratory.
• Advanced technical acumen and ability to work independently on complex projects.
• Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and ISO standards.
• Ability to perform physical tasks in a lab setting, including lifting up to 55 pounds.
