TL;DR

Sr. Consultant - Business Intelligence (Tableau/PowerBI): Designing and maintaining BI dashboards and reporting solutions to support strategic decision-making with an accent on data visualization and SQL optimization. Focus on translating business requirements into actionable reports and optimizing data models for scalability.

Location: Remote (US). Must reside in one of the specified US states (AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WI, or DC). Approximately 50% travel required.

Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000 USD

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau and PowerBI dashboards, scorecards, and reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualization solutions.
• Develop and optimize data models, calculations, parameters, filters, and automated reporting solutions.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database views to support reporting.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Provide end-user support and training on BI capabilities and best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Tableau and/or PowerBI development and enterprise reporting.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
• Must reside in one of the eligible U.S. states or Washington, DC.

Nice to have

• Tableau Desktop Certified Professional or Tableau Certified Data Analyst certification.
• Knowledge of Python, R, or other data analysis programming languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience working in healthcare, finance, retail, or manufacturing environments.
