What you will do

• Own the end-to-end architecture and performance of the electro-optical transmit path.
• Define system-level specifications and translate link targets into component-level requirements.
• Model and predict end-to-end optical link performance using eye and constellation diagrams.
• Support cross-functional co-design across photonics, analog/ASIC, and packaging teams.
• Lead characterization and qualification of electro-optical components and integrated systems.
• Analyze measurement data to identify performance limitations and drive design improvements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of industry experience in a high-tech engineering environment.
• Strong background in optical communications (coherent or IM/DD) or high-frequency characterization.
• Hands-on experience in electro-optical device testing (modulators, photodetectors, lasers).
• Solid understanding of RF/microwave engineering, signal integrity, and silicon photonics.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. export control laws.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-speed SerDes (≥200G PAM4) and industry standards like IEEE 802.3.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for lab automation and data analysis.
• Experience with 3D EM modeling (HFSS) or high-frequency circuit simulation (ADS).
• Knowledge of advanced packaging and 2.5D/3D integration in optical platforms.
