Application Support Engineer (Microsoft 365)

What you will do

• Maintain and support internal Microsoft 365 and Azure environments including Entra ID and SharePoint.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client Microsoft 365 tenancy issues.
• Execute technical setup for new client onboarding and troubleshoot arising issues.
• Act as a technical escalation point for 1st Line Support and Onboarding teams.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate routine maintenance and operational tasks.
• Create and maintain internal technical documentation and a troubleshooting knowledge base.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from the Manchester office
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Identity & Access Management.
• Advanced experience with SharePoint site configuration and security permissions.
• Proficiency in writing PowerShell scripts for task automation.
• Working knowledge of core Azure infrastructure services.

Nice to have

• Experience with Exchange Online, Purview, Teams admin, or Co-Pilot.
• Exposure to ITIL frameworks.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications such as MS-900 or SC-300.
