What you will do

• Review existing CMM programs, measurement frequencies, and inspection methodologies across the group.
• Identify opportunities to improve programming efficiency, reduce over-processing, and increase throughput.
• Develop and deploy a standardized group-wide metrology and CMM strategy.
• Drive software standardization, training programs, and best-practice sharing across sites.
• Assess current CMM equipment capability, utilization, and future investment requirements.
• Provide technical leadership for metrology activities, supporting quality, manufacturing, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Blackburn or Derby, UK.
• Proven experience in aerospace, precision engineering, or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Expert user of PC-DMIS with strong CMM programming experience.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, metrology principles, and inspection planning.
• Experience driving process improvement and standardization across manufacturing operations.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering.
