What you will do

• Manage the full operational value chain including planning, purchasing, production, engineering, and logistics for a site of approximately 50 employees.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary management team and establish clear accountability and performance expectations.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
• Implement effective preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety, environmental legislation, and the site's Quality Management System.
• Take ownership of operational cost performance and align site decisions with Group commercial objectives.

Requirements

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Significant experience leading a manufacturing site, plant, or broad operations function.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite at the UK manufacturing location.
• Proven track record of delivering operational improvement and leading organizational change.
• Strong technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and a hands-on approach to shop-floor leadership.
• Expertise in production, maintenance, quality, and operational performance management.

Nice to have

• Experience in coatings, flexible packaging, adhesives, chemicals, or specialty materials.
• Knowledge of solvents, hazardous substances, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Qualifications in Lean Six Sigma, NEBOSH, DSEAR, ATEX, COSHH, or ISO management systems.
