Product Manager – Compliance by Design (Insurtech)

Location: Brussels, Belgium; hybrid workplace with up to three remote days per week. The role also allows working from anywhere for one month per year.

What you will do

• Own the product strategy for the Compliance by Design engine across sanctions screening, KYC/KYB, DISI, and automotive Proof of Insurance.
• Translate European insurance regulations, partner requirements, and business goals into measurable product outcomes and scalable software capabilities.
• Conduct interviews and discovery with risk, legal, delivery, partner, and end-user stakeholders to identify compliance friction and opportunities.
• Lead an empowered product trio with a designer and engineer, guiding prototyping, iterative delivery, and assumption testing.
• Deliver high-performing, auditable, real-time compliance services and measure outcomes such as approval rates, false positives, verification latency, and processing speed.
• Identify and define AI applications for document parsing, fraud detection, regulatory monitoring, and compliance product workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, ideally in fintech, insurtech, regtech, or a high-growth SaaS company.
• Experience taking products from conception through launch and iteration, with a focus on customer and business outcomes.
• Understanding of API integrations, data flows, system architecture, workflow metrics, analytics, and SQL engines.
• Experience with product discovery, customer interviews, assumption mapping, prototyping, and flow testing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into product specifications.
• Master’s degree in business, law and technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance or financial services.
• Experience with KYC/KYB, sanctions or PEP screening, identity verification, automotive Proof of Insurance, or core backend services.
• Familiarity with Inspired, Continuous Discovery Habits, or similar product discovery practices.
• Experience in a company undergoing a strategic shift or pivot.
