Compensation Consultant (HR): Developing and administering broad-based compensation programs and providing strategic consultation to business groups with an accent on job architecture, pay equity, and market alignment. Location: Hybrid (must be based in Boston or Springfield, MA); requires in-person office time three days a week.

Salary: $128,000–$168,000

What you will do

• Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and leaders on pay practices, translating market data and compliance considerations (FLSA, pay equity) into practical guidance.
• Lead job catalog reviews to align grades, create new roles, and validate market matches based on business context.
• Create tailored total compensation solutions for mid-management and above, aligning offer and pay decisions with company strategy.
• Facilitate annual compensation planning, providing data-driven recommendations to maximize budgets and reinforce pay-for-performance.
• Provide governance via Workday approvals for promotions, off-cycle adjustments, and offers.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Talent Management teams on cross-functional compensation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 8+ years of Human Resources experience, with 6+ years of specific compensation experience.
• Ability to work from Boston or Springfield, MA offices on a hybrid schedule.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret and organize complex data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• CCP, GRP, CECP, or CSCP certification.
• Experience with HRIS systems, specifically Workday.
• Experience managing compensation programs in large organizations across diverse functions.
