Compensation Principal

Location: Boston, MA, United States; hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one remote day per week

Base salary: USD 120,000–225,000 per year, plus potential discretionary corporate bonus or incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Advise business leaders, HR relationship managers, and managers on compensation matters.
• Monitor compensation market trends and conduct competitive market analysis.
• Advise on compensation levels for new-hire offers and provide supporting analysis.
• Design and manage base pay and corporate bonus programs with the Global Compensation team.
• Support the annual compensation review cycle and prepare analytics and reporting for Compensation Committees.
• Lead varied compensation projects, including developing structures for new roles and business areas.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant compensation or reward experience, in-house or consulting; financial services experience is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of compensation and reward practices.
• Exceptional analytical and numeracy skills, including experience working with large data sets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, consulting, interpersonal, and independent judgment skills.
• Bachelor’s degree, high attention to detail, discretion, cross-cultural awareness, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
