What you will do
- Work with senior management to ensure shoots match the series creative direction and the episode pitch.
- Plan strategically to keep the programme on schedule and within budget.
- Oversee health and safety across shoots, including highly specialized filming areas.
- Direct key shoots personally once filming begins, while overseeing others across the schedule.
- Ensure compliance with editorial guidelines and relevant /statutory policies and employment practices.
- Maintain duty of care for animals, filming locations, and the wider environment.
Requirements
- Produced a major landmark behaviour-led film to the high standards expected of a blue-chip programme.
- Demonstrated directorial skills delivering visually stunning, narratively creative sequences with character-led stories and multiple story beats.
- Ability to problem-solve under challenging circumstances and manage budgets successfully.
- Experience working in diverse teams, sharing information and knowledge with editorial and production management colleagues.
- Willing to travel to locations to direct shoots and also manage remote and other complex shoots while overseeing safety.
- Resilience and stamina to work under pressure.

Salary: £48,000 - £65,000 (depending on skills, knowledge, and experience).
