Principal Data Strategist (Data & AI)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; the role is based in Germany and requires regular travel to client sites, up to approximately 50% of the time.

What you will do

• Co-create data and technology strategies aligned with client business objectives.
• Define visions and roadmaps for enterprise-wide data-driven transformation.
• Provide technical leadership across complex data programs, platforms, AI and ML use cases.
• Lead client engagements, solution development, proposals and multimillion-euro pursuits.
• Design data governance strategies covering security, privacy, compliance, lineage, quality and classification.
• Grow data strategy and governance capabilities through mentoring, reusable assets and thought leadership.

Requirements

• Extensive consulting experience delivering data strategies and solutions that create business value.
• Strong experience with data platforms, data technologies and enterprise data strategy.
• Experience influencing C-level stakeholders and leading technical teams and projects.
• Recent consultancy or professional-services experience driving data and AI engagements end to end.
• Experience shaping and winning data and AI pursuits, including deals from approximately €3M upwards.
• Professional German proficiency at B2 minimum is required; C1 is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Outstanding data and AI consulting credentials if German proficiency is not yet at the required level.
• Experience creating reusable accelerators, go-to-market assets or growing a practice.
• Hands-on credibility in at least one relevant data or AI technology area.
