Principal Data Architect (AI)

What you will do

• Partner with senior technical stakeholders to lead workshops, architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts, and technology evaluations.
• Define data strategies covering cloud modernization, lakehouse platforms, real-time data, and AI readiness.
• Design practical, maintainable data architectures and remain involved through implementation.
• Shape customer solutions, proposals, bids, pitches, and delivery estimates during pre-sales activities.
• Design reliable and responsible AI systems with traceability, transparency, governance, and production readiness.
• Mentor colleagues and strengthen organizational data and AI capabilities.

Requirements

• Deep experience delivering customer data architecture projects at scale.
• Consulting, commercial, pre-sales, proposal, and customer engagement experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS, modern data platforms, distributed processing, data modeling, API design, containerization, and serverless computing.
• Experience with data governance, metadata management, security, operating models, agile, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English are required.
• Degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, with ownership and leadership capabilities.

Nice to have

• Databricks experience, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and MLflow.
