What you will do

• Lead purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain planned inventory levels.
• Resolve material-related accounting and receiving issues.
• Develop business simplification methods and contribute to ISO documentation for the purchasing function.
• Manage purchasing projects, monitoring costs, schedules, and scope.
• Oversee workload distribution, train lower-level buyers, and audit purchasing activities.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in purchasing or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and how purchasing integrates with related functions.
• Ability to solve complex problems using information from multiple sources and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus.
• Availability for approximately 10% travel.
