What you will do
- Act as the technical point person for the Marine team and manage a portfolio of complex and high-value claims, with a focus on Marine Liability.
- Provide claims strategy, technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight for complex, litigated, watchlist, and US liability claims.
- Work with underwriters, brokers, legal providers, and service providers to improve claims outcomes and customer service.
- Support product wording development, class-specific vendor and expert selection, renewals, and new business opportunities.
- Analyse claims, loss performance, underwriting efficiency, causation trends, and KPIs to support business decisions.
- Lead negotiations on complex coverage matters and represent in market and broker meetings.
Requirements
- Experience and expert knowledge in Marine Liability and other Marine classes.
- Experience managing complex and/or high-value claims, including claims in litigation and US liability claims.
- Ability to analyse claims and underwriting data, identify trends, and support portfolio and KPI management.
- Strong experience with policy wording, coverage negotiations, broker relationships, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to train and mentor junior claims professionals.
- ACII accreditation or active progress toward ACII accreditation.
