What you will do

• Design and build accessible interactions in the Editor, including focus management, keyboard navigation, and ARIA roles.
• Use screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS) daily to test, debug, and validate accessibility implementations.
• Collaborate with engineers across the Editing Group to review designs and pull requests, providing technical guidance on accessibility.
• Identify systemic accessibility gaps and develop architectural solutions to address underlying causes.

Requirements

• Solid commercial experience building accessible web applications with a strong understanding of WCAG.
• Hands-on experience developing and debugging with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS).
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Experience working effectively within a large, interconnected frontend codebase.
• Ability to communicate technical accessibility constraints clearly to designers and engineers.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Sydney, Australia.

Nice to have

• Experience with WAI-ARIA authoring for complex widgets (trees, grids, drag-and-drop).
• Experience with HTML5 canvas, WYSIWYG, or real-time UI accessibility.
• Familiarity with browser and native accessibility APIs.
• Experience building accessibility features utilizing AI.
• Experience with mobile accessibility, including React Native.
