What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain core cloud-native services powering the global securities settlement platform.
• Manage critical components end-to-end, from initial design and implementation through production operation.
• Utilize AI agents and AI-enabled tooling to write software specifications and implementation.
• Provide technical leadership, guide architectural decisions, and mentor engineers (for VP level).
• Partner with business and operations teams to evolve the platform using technology-driven automation.

Requirements

• Strong track record as a senior software engineer with ownership of complex, cloud-based production systems.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Java, building distributed, event-driven services.
• Proven experience developing and operating cloud-native platforms using microservices and APIs.
• Practical experience with AI agents or AI-based tooling for enterprise software development.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, data consistency, and operational failure modes.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with serverless technologies such as DynamoDB, Fargate, Lambda, and Cloud Run.
• Knowledge of event-sourcing architectures and domain-driven design.
• AWS public cloud experience, including Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Bazel.
• Prior exposure to post-trade, settlements, or high-volume financial processing systems.
• Native level Japanese is an added advantage.
