Global Benefits Lead

TL;DR

Global Benefits Lead (HR): Owning the strategy, design, and execution of global benefits programs for a distributed workforce with an accent on US self-insured health models and EOR scalability. Focus on implementing complex health plans, managing global open enrollment, and optimizing benefits budgets across 30+ countries.

Location: Must be based in the US (Hybrid in New York City or San Francisco with anchor days, or fully remote if beyond commuting distance)

Salary: $185,000 - $225,000 (SF base pay)

What you will do

• Develop global benefits philosophy across health, welfare, retirement (401k), and wellness programs.
• Design and implement a U.S. self-insured health plan, including financial modeling and vendor selection.
• Partner with EOR providers to ensure local compliance while maintaining a consistent global benefits strategy.
• Lead end-to-end global open enrollment cycles and manage the global benefits budget.
• Oversee broker and vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure service standards.
• Build scalable processes and documentation to support rapid international expansion.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and managing global benefits programs at a scaling company.
• Must have direct experience evaluating or managing a U.S. self-insured health plan.
• Strong expertise in U.S. health and welfare, 401k administration, and leave compliance.
• Proven experience supporting a distributed workforce using EOR partners across multiple countries.
• Ability to create financial models for benefits budgets and translate complex structures for leadership.
• Experience building scalable HR systems to support rapid growth.
