Location: Hybrid: Must be based in or near Irvine (HQ), Denver, or San Francisco
Salary: $100K – $145K + Equity

What you will do
- Lead new hire onboarding to ensure a high-quality employee experience.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR processes.
- Manage benefits administration, including enrollment, leave management, and vendor coordination.
- Maintain employee records in Rippling and process all employment lifecycle changes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO).
- Coordinate performance review cycles and support managers with development planning and corrective action.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar people-focused role.
- Solid working knowledge of employee relations, benefits, payroll, and employment law.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (preferably Rippling) and Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
- High ownership mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Nice to have
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting a multi-state or distributed workforce.
- Startup or high-growth ny experience.
- Experience with leave administration and reasonable accommodation processes.
