Senior Backend Engineer (Cybersecurity): Building and optimizing backend services, ETL pipelines, and GraphQL APIs for a production-safe autonomous pentesting platform with an accent on data processing and retrieval. Location: Remote (US). Strong preference for candidates in the Washington DC area. Must have or be able to obtain a TS level security clearance.

A fast-growing cybersecurity company providing the NodeZero platform for autonomous pentesting to identify and verify exploitable attack vectors.

What you will do

• Develop core product features using ETL and GraphQL for data processing and retrieval.
• Design and implement backend APIs to facilitate interactions between product components.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines for efficient analytics and data processing.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to optimize data presentation and user experience.
• Contribute to platform enhancements, stability, and user-facing product launches.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to foster professional growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with modern languages (Python, Java, Go, etc.).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience building capabilities for Federally compliant systems (FedRAMP, IL4/5/6).
• Expert proficiency in SQL.
• Current security clearance and/or ability to gain and maintain a TS level clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL and Neo4j.
• Experience building GraphQL backends.
• Experience managing production infrastructure.
• Proficiency with AI-enabled development tools.
