Data Engineer (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Salary: $140,000 – $180,000

What you will do

• Design and operate large-scale data processing pipelines handling multi-terabyte and streaming datasets, including audio/video transcoding and preprocessing.
• Deploy, scale, and troubleshoot containerized workloads on Kubernetes and AWS in production.
• Build and maintain distributed data processing jobs using Spark and Ray.
• Design and operate workflow orchestration systems (e.g., Airflow) with monitoring and alerting.
• Administer and tune enterprise databases for performance, scaling, and recovery.
• Partner with ML engineers to support training pipelines, feature stores, and MLOps workflows.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS in production environments.
• Proficiency with distributed computing frameworks such as Spark and Ray.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proven track record of building pipelines for multi-terabyte or streaming datasets.

Nice to have

• Experience working with audio or video data at scale (transcoding, feature extraction).
• Programming experience with Golang.
• Experience orchestrating machine learning workflows and MLOps tooling.
