Building Engineer

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; on-site building operations role

What you will do

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Respond to tenant service requests, including temperature issues, plumbing problems, lighting repairs, emergencies, severe weather events, and system outages.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and escalate complex issues to senior engineers or technicians.
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other system components while maintaining accurate inspection and equipment records.
• Inspect the property for deficiencies, assist with contractor oversight, and collaborate with tenants, contractors, property managers, and senior engineers.
• Participate in on-call rotations, safety audits, technical training, and professional development programs.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of job-related experience or equivalent certification or trade experience.
• Engineering and trade licenses required by applicable local, state, or national regulations.
• Developing knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, with growing experience operating and troubleshooting BAS.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook and laptop or phone applications used for work orders, email, and training.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
