Finance & Strategy, Compute (Central)

Location: San Francisco, CA; hybrid, with staff expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time

Annual salary: $240,000–$325,000 USD

What you will do

• Own consolidation and financial review cadences across compute finance pillars, including accelerators, cloud spend, infrastructure, datacenters, and data partnerships.
• Prepare compute finance contributions to board materials and executive reviews.
• Maintain dashboards, recurring reporting, and reconciled reporting infrastructure.
• Integrate financial models into a coherent three-statement view.
• Coordinate close, forecast, budget, and long-range planning handoffs with Corporate FP&A.
• Own planning-system datasets, sources of truth, model hygiene, version control, and cross-pillar operating cadence.

Requirements

• Experience in FP&A, strategic finance, finance operations, consulting, or investment banking, preferably in a multi-business-unit or infrastructure-heavy environment.
• Experience building or running consolidation, allocation, or planning processes across multiple finance owners.
• Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to reconcile complex models into a single defensible view.
• Strong process-design, operating-cadence, written communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience.
• Availability for the hybrid office policy, with at least 25% of working time in an Anthropic office.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with cost allocation or chargeback methodologies in cloud or infrastructure environments.
• Background in AI, ML, cloud service provider economics, or large-scale computing infrastructure.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, and Excel.
• Chief-of-staff, BizOps, or finance-systems experience in a high-growth environment.
