What you will do

• Select pipe types and materials according to specific job specifications.
• Plan and execute the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and coordinate with other workers.
• Cut, thread, and assemble a variety of metal and non-metal piping, including brass, copper, and plastic.
• Join piping using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints.
• Install and maintain refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, including compressors and pumps.
• Conduct pressure tests to identify leaks and ensure system reliability.

Requirements

• Ability to read and follow oral and written directions, plans, and blueprints.
• High degree of accuracy in measuring, comparing, and visualizing solid objects from flat drawings.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and scaffolding, work at heights, and lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Strong hand-eye coordination for precise manual installation work.
