Compensation: $200,000 – $300,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Design and evolve core control, data, and observability systems for the platform.
• Implement resilient, region-spanning architectures that handle partial failures gracefully.
• Build libraries, protocols, and tooling to improve reliability and developer velocity.
• Diagnose and harden critical paths using metrics, tracing, and real-world traffic insights.
• Shape new platform capabilities in identity, scheduling, and distributed state management.

Requirements

• Must be based in the U.S.
• Proven experience designing and delivering distributed systems in production.
• Strong programming fundamentals with Go fluency.
• Deep understanding of consensus, coordination, and distributed failure modes.
• Ability to reduce complex systems into understandable, performant components.
• Ownership mindset: prototype, test, ship, monitor, and iterate.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with pub/sub, RPC, or coordination systems like NATS, etcd, or Raft.
• Exposure to real-time or low-latency infrastructure.
• Experience shipping observability tooling at scale.
