Location: On-site in Austin, Texas. Candidates must be able to access technical data without a requirement for an export license; sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Design analog and mixed-signal layouts for high-performance CMOS Integrated Circuits.
• Complete layout and verification using Cadence Virtuoso XL and Mentor's Calibre tools.
• Collaborate with circuit engineers to generate topological layouts for optimal performance.
• Solve layout design issues and implement proactive interventions to ensure circuit efficiency.
• Handle routing at both the block level and chip top-level using assisted and automated tools.
• Manage layout planning and integration tasks.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Electronic/IC layout CAD specialization or related program.
• 10+ years of IC layout experience.
• Proficiency in layout techniques including common centroid, matching, isolation, shielding, and dummy devices.
• Solid understanding of ESD, Latch-up, STI, WPE, electro-migration, IR drop, cross-coupling capacitance, DFM, and Antenna effect.
• Strong LVS troubleshooting and debug skills.
• Ability to layout analog circuitry within size and time constraints.

Nice to have

• BS Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related program.
• Experience with multiple IC design CAD tools and foundry PDKs.
• Knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal fundamentals.
• Ability to contribute ideas for efficiency and automation of layout tasks.
