What you will do

• Develop new features and enhancements for core system solutions under supervision.
• Fix defects and maintain high code quality standards.
• Write unit tests and contribute to API documentation.
• Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate within an agile team to support the full software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong understanding of software development concepts and design patterns.
• Experience working in Linux/OS X environments, Spring, AWS, and Microservices.
• Proficiency with SQL, NoSQL databases, and version control systems like GIT.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Must be based in or able to work from Toronto.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and building JSON or REST services.
• Knowledge of Docker or containerization technologies.
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and functional testing.
• Familiarity with 3rd party and AWS APIs.
