What you will do

• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements to balance business objectives and legal risk.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research to provide practical advice for strategic business decisions.
• Identify and communicate legal risks, providing recommendations aligned with the company's risk appetite.
• Support litigation preparedness, internal investigations, and dispute resolution activities.
• Develop and maintain legal policies, contract templates, and governance documentation.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, Finance, Product, and HR teams to integrate legal considerations into strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD), LLB, or equivalent law degree.
• Licensed to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Significant experience in commercial, corporate, financial services, or fintech legal practice.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Previous in-house legal experience within payments, fintech, or a publicly traded organization.
• Experience supporting global business operations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms and legal technology tools.
• Experience advising executive leadership on strategic legal and regulatory matters.
