TL;DR

Product Conduct & Control Manager (Fintech): Establishing a first-line Conduct & Control function to support regulated lending, insurance, and embedded finance products with an accent on conduct risk management and governance. Focus on implementing Consumer Duty principles, executing Fair Value Assessments, and designing robust risk and control frameworks.

Location: Hybrid (Bristol or London). Must be based in the UK and able to work from the office 3 days a week.

What you will do

  • Own and maintain conduct risk frameworks, including product reviews, Fair Value Assessments, and material change assessments.
  • Assess strategic product changes from a Consumer Duty and fair value perspective before they reach customers.
  • Run proactive vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate elevated conduct risks.
  • Build and maintain the portfolio conduct MI framework, including outcome tolerances and early warning indicators.
  • Design, run, and evidence first-line Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) across the FS portfolio.
  • Lead partner conduct reviews to ensure third-party providers maintain required conduct standards.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a first-line Conduct, Risk, or Control role within a regulated UK Financial Services environment.
  • Hands-on experience applying Consumer Duty principles to ensure positive customer outcomes.
  • Proven expertise in at least one area: Product Lifecycle Governance, Fair Value Assessments, Risk & Control Frameworks, or Third-Party Oversight.
  • Ability to work from Bristol or London 3 days per week.

Nice to have

  • Experience in lending, insurance, payments, or embedded finance sectors.
  • Experience conducting vulnerability assessments and interpreting conduct-related MI.
  • Knowledge of RCSA or GRC methodologies for designing and testing control frameworks.
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers or outsourced providers in a regulated environment.
