Commercial Legal Counsel

What you will do

• Negotiate and draft commercial agreements for customers and data suppliers, including order forms, master or framework agreements, data licensing agreements, and NDAs.
• Apply negotiation techniques and economic principles to structure mutually beneficial deals.
• Build and refine contracting playbooks and template agreements using AI tooling and platforms.
• Enable commercial and sales teams to self-serve on standard agreements through clear and robust playbooks.
• Represent hirify.global externally in calls, written communications, and face-to-face meetings.
• Start by managing customer-side contracting playbooks, then progress toward troubleshooting complex negotiations and leading bespoke strategic deals with the General Counsel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong collaboration and team communication skills.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to move quickly and efficiently through a high volume of commercial work.

Nice to have

• Experience in the legal or commercial team of an exchange, index provider, or financial data or analytics business.
• Exposure to data licensing arrangements on the supplier side, customer side, or both.
• Alternatively, experience with commercial contracting at a SaaS or data-driven business.
• An English law degree and/or qualification as a lawyer.
• A strong academic record.
• Evidence of entrepreneurial spirit.

Hiring process
