Cost Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Build cost models to establish Design-to-Cost targets for automotive electronic components, modules, and assemblies.
• Define best-practice cost references for electronic systems down to the component level.
• Analyze supplier cost breakdowns to understand all cost-influencing factors.
• Lead the technical definition and implementation of electronic system cost modeling and analytics solutions.
• Develop technical relationships with suppliers to identify best-cost solutions and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Engineering teams during the new business quoting and negotiation phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost engineering, VA/VE, or design and development of electronic systems.
• Experience working with complex components, modules, and assemblies.
• Proven technical leadership and ability to lead and review the work of other cost engineers.
• Ability to decompose component costs into constituent costs and solve complex technical topics.
• Fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience specifically developing cost models for components and assemblies.
• Experience with automotive-grade electronic systems and component selection.
