Location: Fremont, California, United States. The role may include a mix of in-office and remote work depending on business needs, with expectations clarified during the interview process. Travel of up to 10–15% domestically and internationally is required.
Base salary: $98,769.66–$133,629.54 USD per year, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do
- Lead quality activities for products manufactured by Brooks and contract manufacturers, including quality evaluations, control plans, and processing protocols.
- Manage product failure analysis, generate reports, and present findings and recovery plans to customers.
- Lead problem-solving teams using 8D, 5 Whys, fishbone analysis, and other advanced problem-solving methods.
- Drive cross-functional CAPA activities and ensure corrective actions comply with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Analyze complex quality data, interpret trends, and prepare field product quality metrics.
- Lead quality meetings, support new product introduction process certification, and audit quality systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and at least 8 years of professional Quality Engineer experience.
- Ability to apply statistical methods including DOE, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, Gauge R&R, statistical process control, and capability analysis.
- Strong analytical ability and proficiency with Microsoft 365.
- Ability to work independently and support international contract manufacturing, factory teams, and customers with scheduling flexibility.
- Confident customer-facing communication skills during escalations and the ability to explain technical corrective actions.
- Ability to work from or regularly support the Fremont, California location; travel up to 10–15% is required.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline with at least 5 years of professional experience.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing regulations and standards for capital equipment.
- Copy exact experience.
- Certification in Quality Engineering, auditing, improvement, Six Sigma, project management, or Lean.
