What you will do

• Set the strategic direction and standards for commercial copy approval across broadcast, outdoor, and digital platforms.
• Establish governance, quality assurance, and decision-making frameworks to ensure consistent application of advertising regulations.
• Partner with Legal and governing bodies to integrate legislative changes and advertising codes into company policies and training.
• Lead and develop the Commercial Copy Approval expertise, defining capability frameworks and overseeing team onboarding and progression.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Sales, Editorial, and Product teams to embed compliance into campaign planning and innovation.
• Identify emerging risks and implement mitigation strategies for new commercial products, formats, and platforms.

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience in advertising compliance, commercial copy approval, or media regulation.
• Expert knowledge of UK advertising regulation across broadcast, outdoor, and digital channels.
• Experience partnering with Legal and governing bodies to implement regulatory requirements into governance.
• Strong understanding of risk management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven experience leading high-performing teams through coaching and capability building.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across various business functions.
