Senior Legal Counsel (Telecoms)

Location: Newbury, United Kingdom with hybrid office attendance 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month.

What you will do

• Lead negotiations for high-value strategic contracts, bids, tenders, and business transactions across hirify.global Business sales segments.
• Provide practical legal advice on complex commercial, operational, regulatory, and compliance matters.
• Advise senior business leaders and support strategic decisions while identifying and mitigating legal risks.
• Partner with commercial, finance, security, compliance, product, technical, regulatory, and external stakeholders.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate changes into actionable business guidance.
• Drive legal governance, process improvement, self-service initiatives, and knowledge sharing across the legal function.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience.
• Extensive experience negotiating and advising on high-value commercial contracts and strategic transactions.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications, technology, and related legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong negotiation, influencing, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to provide commercially minded, solution-focused advice and engage confidently with senior leaders.
• Ability to work in the Newbury hybrid model, attending the office 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month.

• Experience in telecommunications, technology, or another complex commercial environment.
