Equipment Engineer Gas and Chemical Systems

Location: Nijmegen, Netherlands; onsite work with gas and chemical installations in a semiconductor wafer fab

What you will do

• Coordinate daily with subcontractors on maintenance activities, priorities, planning, and follow-up.
• Analyze equipment data and define improvement plans for safety, quality, availability, and cost KPIs.
• Prepare, manage, and execute projects improving the reliability and availability of gas and chemical systems.
• Define requirements, test modifications, and accept modified gas and chemical systems.
• Maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Train and coach maintenance technicians while supporting teams with complex issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering, or relevant knowledge of gas and chemical delivery systems.
• 1–3 years of experience in a comparable role.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and leading projects or activities.
• Knowledge of PLC control systems and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
• Analytical, pragmatic, proactive, customer-oriented, and able to work independently while handling multiple projects.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry, safety studies, ATEX, and BRZO regulations is preferred.
