Electrical Engineer (Energy Storage)

What you will do

• Develop and design electrical drawings including single-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Create and review technical specifications for electrical systems and equipment like inverters, switchgear, and transformers.
• Perform quality control of engineering deliverables and assess technical trade-offs.
• Support procurement engineering activities including RFIs, technical queries, and bid evaluations.
• Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure project timelines and safety KPIs are met.
• Coordinate daily work using Agile methodologies and JIRA.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in utility-scale power system design (PV, battery storage, or wind).
• Proficiency in German and English (minimum C1 level).
• Solid experience in HV/MV/LV design, relay coordination, protection, and grounding.
• Familiarity with European codes, standards, and regulations.
• Must be based in or able to work from Erlangen, Germany.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of additional European languages.
• Interest in leveraging AI-based tools for engineering workflows and automation.
• Experience mentoring less experienced engineers.
