Principal Product Application Engineer (m/f/d) - SiC

What you will do

• Design power electronics platforms using SiC technologies.
• Run and analyze testing, validation, characterization, and modelling of power systems and semiconductor devices.
• Build demo systems and present technical solutions to customers.
• Support product go-to-market activities and customer design-in projects.
• Create and deliver technical presentations, training sessions, and webinars.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, customers, and universities to shape next-generation semiconductor performance.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of semiconductor industry experience, preferably focused on wide-bandgap power applications.
• Strong hardware design experience with SiC, GaN, and IGBT applications.
• Knowledge of thermal and mechanical design, gate driving, inductance optimization, PCB design, simulation, and power module design.
• Experience with measurements, testing, and high-voltage laboratory environments.
• Fluent English is required; German is an advantage. Occasional travel is expected.

Nice to have

• Experience with wide-bandgap semiconductor technologies.
• German language skills.
