What you will do

• Design and execute process controls and instrumentation for production-scale synthesis equipment.
• Implement control system strategies and incorporate designs into Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including instrument indexes, I/O lists, and cause and effect matrices.
• Collaborate with outside vendors for process controls designs and electrical/instrumentation subsystems.
• Participate in HAZOP reviews and safety audits to ensure safe process design.
• Bring hardware and code online and iteratively improve systems based on end-user feedback.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in process controls.
• Proficiency in PID, cascade, and advanced control system design principles.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation devices and communication protocols such as Profinet and Modbus.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, Structured Text, and IEC 61131-3 languages.
• Experience designing and programming intuitive HMIs for real-time monitoring.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards including NFPA, UL508A, and IEC 61151.
