What you will do

• Negotiate and settle large exposure commercial general liability and property claims.
• Investigate claims and determine coverage, liability, and damages.
• Prepare written status and large loss reports for clients.
• Interpret routine and complex policy contracts and coverage.
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences as necessary; direct and monitor defense counsel for litigated claims.
• Establish and maintain reserves and payments; maintain a pending and closing ratio of 100% and communicate with internal/external customers.

Requirements

• Location: Home United States (fully remote)
• Ability to interpret policy contracts and coverage, including routine and complex terms.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate, investigate, and resolve claims.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences, including timely reporting.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet critical deadlines while handling multiple responsibilities.
• Knowledge of applicable case law, statutory law, and DOI regulations affecting claims practices in the territory of operation.
