Senior Mechanical Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Wilmington, Massachusetts, USA; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $101,000–$138,600 base annual pay

What you will do

• Design components of electromechanical machinery, robotic work cells, and automated material-handling systems.
• Conceptualize, analyze, fabricate, test, validate, and improve mechanical equipment and critical components.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, test procedures, and installation, maintenance, and operations manuals.
• Support production, equipment implementation, commissioning, fabrication, assembly, and customer data-collection visits.
• Coordinate design intent across mechanical, electrical, controls, robotics, and vision disciplines.
• Guide design work and coach less experienced engineering team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on mechanical engineering or mechanical design experience.
• Experience in robotics or another relevant engineering field.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks and experience with design and drafting standards.
• Understanding of fabrication processes, including turning, milling, and welding.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems, manage priorities independently, and work effectively under changing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD, other CAD software, FEA, or PLM.
