What you will do
- Lead the mechanical design and production release of actuator product lines for humanoid robotic platforms.
- Guide technical execution from initial architecture through manufacturing.
- Complete CAD models and comprehensive drawing packages using GD&T and 1D/3D tolerance analysis.
- Partner with suppliers and manufacturing teams to optimize designs for assembly, cost, and long-term reliability.
- Mentor early-career and mid-level design engineers through design reviews and production release.
- Manage technical risks through FMEAs, validation planning, and analysis of gears, bearings, seals, and shafts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Typically 7+ years of professional experience in electromechanical product design and launch.
- Experience bringing complex electromechanical assemblies from architecture through production release in a high-rigor environment such as automotive, aerospace, or medical devices.
- High proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably CATIA, and PLM systems.
- Detailed documentation, GD&T, and tolerance stack analysis experience.
- Ability to resolve ambiguous design challenges, balance innovation with manufacturing constraints, and lead cross-functional collaboration.
