Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

TL;DR

Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin): Developing and optimizing OS and third-party software patching systems for an endpoint management platform with an accent on backend scalability and API-first design. Focus on building high-load services in Java/Kotlin and creating responsive React-based UI components for patching workflows.

Location: Must be based in the USA (specifically CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, ME, MA, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, or WA). Not eligible for visa sponsorship. Cannot be located within the city limits of Chicago.

Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain patch and software definitions for various supported OS platforms.
• Build backend functionality using Java and Kotlin to expose platform functions for extensibility.
• Create React-based UI components for patching workflows and dashboards.
• Collaborate with AI workflow, server, and platform teams to ensure reliable, scalable patch delivery.
• Lead architecture and design reviews to build high-quality, API-first software.
• Troubleshoot production issues across the stack using logs, metrics, and traces.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Java software development with solid expertise in Kotlin.
• 2+ years of experience with React for frontend development.
• 4+ years of experience working with highly scalable software systems.
• Strong knowledge of OOP design principles and scaling data structures.
• Experience with REST service development using frameworks like Spring or Jersey.
• Must reside in specific US states; no visa sponsorship provided.
