Staff Software Engineer (Growth)

Location: Must be based in San Francisco, CA, New York City, NY, or Seattle, WA (Hybrid policy: minimum 25% office presence)

Salary: $320,000 - $405,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop and implement technical solutions to support user acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue growth.
• Design and execute A/B tests and experiments to optimize onboarding, feature adoption, and subscription conversion.
• Collaborate with product and marketing teams to translate growth opportunities into technical requirements.
• Utilize data-driven approaches to identify patterns in user behavior and implement optimizations.

Requirements

• Experience in user growth (acquisition, activation, retention, monetization) or revenue-focused organizations (e.g., ads).
• Proficiency in full-stack development, specifically with React and backend technologies.
• Experience with data analysis and experimentation frameworks.
• Must be based in or able to work from the SF, NYC, or Seattle offices.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Ability to independently analyze data and identify growth opportunities.
