Product Compliance Engineer – Product Safety & Cybersecurity

What you will do

• Lead product safety, regulatory compliance, and certification activities across the product lifecycle.
• Support approvals involving UL, CSA, Intertek, TÜV, IEC, IEEE, CE, FCC, UKCA, RoHS, and REACH.
• Embed secure development lifecycle, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity compliance requirements into product development.
• Review product requirements, participate in design reviews, conduct risk assessments, and support verification activities.
• Coordinate certification testing with external agencies and partner with Product Engineering, DevOps, and Product Management.
• Develop repeatable compliance processes and AI-assisted workflows to improve release speed and documentation quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product compliance engineering.
• Strong knowledge of IEC/EN 61000 EMC and IEC/UL 61010 safety standards.
• Experience with industrial electronics and global product launches.
• Direct experience working with UL, TÜV, Intertek, or equivalent certification agencies.
• Strong understanding of functional safety and product cybersecurity.
• Position location: Fairport, New York, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with IEC 62443, IEC 61508, or the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Experience with Industrial IoT, cloud software compliance, or secure software development.
