What you will do

• Support product safety and regulatory certification activities for semiconductor equipment platforms.
• Ensure compliance with SEMI S2, S8, S10, IEC 60204-1, NFPA 79, and EU Machinery directives.
• Perform product hazard analyses using FMEA, FMECA, PHA, and HAZOP methodologies.
• Partner with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to integrate safety features into systems.
• Coordinate with third-party certification agencies such as TÜV, UL, and CSA for testing and evaluations.
• Investigate safety incidents and conduct root cause analysis to identify product improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in product safety or regulatory compliance.
• Working knowledge of SEMI S2, CE marking framework, and hazard analysis techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering environments.
• Location: Based in Milpitas, CA

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment or complex industrial machinery.
• Exposure to ISO 12100 risk assessment and functional safety standards (ISO 13849, IEC 62061).
• Experience supporting compliance testing or working directly with certification bodies.
