Senior Product Compliance Engineer

Location: Andover, Massachusetts, United States. The role operates in remote and professional office environments, with up to 30% travel required. Candidates must generally reside in a state where MKS is registered to do business.

Salary: $90,000–$125,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with the Global Product Compliance team to evaluate and certify products against national and international standards, regulations, and directives.
• Direct external compliance testing and lead efforts to resolve engineering safety issues identified during testing.
• Ensure product designs meet applicable certification, ongoing testing, processing, safety, and EMI/EMC requirements.
• Maintain regulatory approvals and resolve compliance issues with design and manufacturing engineering.
• Compile and evaluate test data to establish appropriate process or material specification limits and variables.
• Create compliance artifacts, test plans, technical files, environmental attestations, and documentation for audits and regulatory submissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of job-related experience.
• Experience with IEC 61010-1 or IEC 62368-1.
• Knowledge of regulatory labeling requirements.
• Strong project management skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with applicable safety and electromagnetic compatibility standards, including IEC 61010-1, IEC 60825-1, EN/IEC 61326-1, and EU directives 2014/30/EU, 2014/35/EU, and 2014/34/EU.

Nice to have

• Experience with CE, FCC, KC, RCM, PSE, or similar certifications.
• Working knowledge of Agile, Oracle, or SAP.
• Python coding experience.
