What you will do

• Provide Control System Functional Safety and Machinery Product Safety Risk Assessment support.
• Develop solutions for complex technical engineering problems related to regulatory compliance.
• Interpret and participate in the development of international safety standards.
• Conduct training for internal teams on safety assessments and product risk.
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to achieve consensus on safety requirements.
• Audit hardware and software assessments to improve work group efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, Controls Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Peoria, Illinois, USA.
• Strong understanding of embedded control systems for mobile machines.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies (e.g., Bowtie, LOPA, MCSSA).
• Knowledge of machinery functional safety standards such as ISO 19014 or ISO 13849.

Nice to have

• Experience with international standards development organizations.
• Knowledge of electrification, autonomy, SOTIF, or AI.
• Control System Functional Safety Certification from an accredited agency.
• Project management skills.
