What you will do

• Contact customers to collect payments on past due mortgage accounts.
• Counsel customers on loss mitigation options and develop action plans to minimize loss.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in the automated collection system.
• Ensure all collection activities comply with federal and state laws and regulatory requirements.
• Manage documentation and reporting within the bank’s imaging system.
• Collaborate with management to accelerate collection processes when necessary.

Requirements

• Must be based in AR, FL, IA, KS, MI, MO, NE, OK, TN, or TX.
• 2+ years of mortgage industry experience.
• 2+ years of direct experience in Default or Collections.
• Working knowledge of mortgage documents and the mortgage life cycle.
• Understanding of agency loans including FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret policy independently.
